Jammin' With The Boss
-- November 5, 2011

Well, it's been a while since we chatted. How is everyone? Me? Oh I am doing great! I have been so darn busy. I play hockey 3 times a week now, I have music lessons, lots of play dates and still going to see lots of concerts!

We had a great year in soccer this year and I made the select team for next year! This year in hockey I decided to be a goalie. I have 4 shutouts in 7 games and only let in 6 goals all year. It's so much fun being a goalie and Daddy helps me a lot!

School is going great. I am reading at a grade 3 level. I love to read. I spell really well, as you can see from my Milestone page!

For Halloween I was Hulk Hogan. I've gone WWE crazy. That's all I play on PS3. Me and Jack play wrestling all the time too!

So, that's what I've been up to but do you want to know why I really decided to blog today? Well, you know that last year I met Bruce Springsteen and got a great pic with him on stage in the Soldiers and Sailors Theatre in Pittsburght? Well, this year they had the same shows so Daddy got me and Mommy tickets for the Thursday show. Daddy's best pal from Vietnam, Uncle Davey P, was in town and we all went to the show together. We got VIP passes and we were hanging out in the back with everyone when somebody said that Bruce was on stage. So, we ran in and were show to our seats....FRONT ROW CENTRE? Wow...thanks to Joe Grushecky (or Bob Benjamin...not sure)..we were right up front. And there was Bruce. He was doing Dancing in the Dark with Johnny Grushecky's band. There was a short break and Bruce went up. Backstreets.com has the full show review, so I won't go into details, but here's the Coles Notes version. Early in the show Bruce looked down at me and waved me up. Daddy picked me up and handed me to Bruce who picked me WAY UP and held me up for the crowd. How freakin' cool was that. I loved it!! And so did Bruce! The crowd cheered. Daddy was shaking he was so excited. So, you think it would end there...but noooooooooooo. At the end of Talking To The King, Bruce, Art and Danny were rocking out..Bruce leaned over and let me play the strings on the neck of his guitar...then he asked me up again and we all jammed. That's RIGHT!! I JAMMED with Bruce Springsteen. Doing my best AIR GUITAR, we finished the song with a big finish. Bruce and I just cut it up at the end. It was AWESOME. So that was a perfect night for ANY 7 year old, but it wasn't over. At the end of Promised Land, Bruce came right up to us and did the final harmonica solo. At the end he leaned down and GAVE ME HIS HARMONICA. Crazy rigth? But he did!! The rest of the show was awesome and at the very end, I got up again, when my pal Danny G called me up to do a bow with him and Bruce. A Night To Remember!! Forever.

On the way home, I actually signed autographs for a few people. And the next day I was in the Pittsburgh Post and mentioned in Stan's blog on NJ.com!

Well...that's my story. I don't know how I'll top that...
